Rebecca K. Branz

Attorney at Law

Rebecca attended UNC-Chapel Hill as a Johnston Scholar where she graduated in 1999 with a degree in Sociology and Womenís Studies. While studying at Chapel Hill, she was selected to the Emerging Leaders Program. After working for a few years, Rebecca fulfilled her lifelong goal and earned her Juris Doctor, graduating from Elon University School of Law. While at Elon Law, Rebecca was Professor Catherine Dunhamís research assistant, earned the Civil Procedure Book Award, and was awarded the Carole Bruce Endowed Scholarship.

Rebecca grew up in Bethany, North Carolina in rural Rockingham County on her familyís farm. While in law school, she helped her family deal with an aunt whose health declined with no powers of attorney in place and who died without a current will. Because of this experience, Rebecca knew she wanted to practice law in the areas of estate planning and administration. While at Elon Law, she participated in the Will Clinic which reinforced her decision become an estate planner.

Rebecca is currently a Preceptor at Elon University School of Law mentoring first year law students. Rebecca is a member of the Greensboro Bar Association.

Rebecca lives in Oak Ridge with her husband, Mike, and their two daughters, Cadence and Keagan. They have two boxers, Maison and Ash.
