After graduating from Duke Law School in 2000, Tim practiced general business law and estate planning law for two years before deciding to dedicate a few years to the public sector. From 2003 to 2005, as Supervisor of the Estates Division of the Wake County Clerk of Superior Court, Tim oversaw the administration of hundreds of estates and guardianships. Following a year with the North Carolina Attorney General's office, Tim returned to private practice in 2006, focusing on estate planning and administration and related matters.
